Delete your Tryft account

This page is for deleting a Tryft account and everything in it — your photographs, the images generated from them, and the account itself. You do not need to have the app installed to use it.

The short version. If you still have the app, delete from inside it: it happens immediately and you can watch it finish. If you have uninstalled, email admin@nomadlink.tech from the address on the account and we will do it for you.

Option 1 — in the app (immediate)

Open Tryft and go to Settings → delete everything. Before you confirm, the app names exactly what is about to be destroyed and warns you that unspent credits do not survive. It reports success only once your storage is genuinely clear, rather than once the request has been sent.

This is the route to prefer. Nothing is queued, nothing waits for us, and you see it complete.

Option 2 — by email, with no app installed

Email admin@nomadlink.tech and ask us to delete your account. We respond within 30 days, and in practice much sooner.

How we check it is really you

Send the request from the email address the account uses. That is the check — we match the address you write from against the account, and if they do not match we will say so rather than guess. We will not ask you for a password, a photograph of yourself, or an identity document, and you should be suspicious of anyone claiming to be us who does.

If you signed in with Google, write from that same Google account's address.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account destroys, permanently:

  • Every photograph of a person on the account — yours, and any other person you added.
  • Every generated image, including those in Looks you never saved, and including any render you had reported to us.
  • Every garment photograph in your garment library, and the cut-out and recoloured copies made from them.
  • Your Looks and your account record, including your email address.

Account deletion is the widest of the deletion routes on purpose: it works by enumerating everything stored under your account rather than by walking the app's own lists, so a stray file that no Look still points at is deleted too.

What does not survive, and will not come back

Unspent credits are destroyed and are not refunded. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred to another account. If you have credits you intend to use, use them before you delete. This is set out in section 4 of the Terms of Service, and the app repeats it in the confirmation dialog.

Purchase records held by Google Play, and the accounting record of what was bought, are not ours to erase and are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. They contain no photographs.

If you only want to delete part of it

Deleting the whole account is not the only option, and the narrower ones keep your credits intact:

  • One person's photograph:People → that person's card → Remove this photo. The person stays on the account so you can add a new photo later.
  • A whole person:People → that person's card → Delete. Their photograph and their name go, so nothing new can be made on them again. Images already generated stay in your Looks until you delete those Looks.
  • A single Look and the renders in it: delete it from Home. Every Look holding a render is listed there, whether or not you saved it.

If the photograph is of you and someone else uploaded it

Email admin@nomadlink.tech. You do not need a Tryft account to use this route, and you do not need to know whose account the photograph is on. We will remove the photograph and the images generated from it.

Uploading a photograph of someone who has not agreed to it is a breach of our Terms, and this route exists because there is no reliable technical way for us to prevent it in advance.
